Hi Support Group member,

Lake Houston Alzheimer's/Dementia Caregiver Support Group (Barbara's group) -- meets Monday September 14, 7:00-8:30 pm at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 2929 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood, TX 77339. Pre-registration is required. For more info about my group and the other (daytime) support group see this page of my web site https://www.synapsesite.net/support_groups. Please let me know if you plan to attend. On Sunday September 13 I will send my final reminder email just to those who have registered, with room number, Zoom link (if needed), etc. I have Cindy Rooks on the 9/14 meeting list so far. It's early yet!

Do you have a mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, or another special someone who could use a little hair TLC—but getting to the salon isn’t always easy?

I’m considering offering in-home hair services on select Mondays and Wednesdays for our wonderful aging community. ✂️✨

✨ A little freshening up

❤️ And, most importantly, some time to feel cared for and pampered

Sometimes a simple haircut, a little conversation, and feeling like yourself again can make someone’s whole day. 🥰

GUIDE Conference in Conroe -- This could be an interesting conference too - next Thursday September 10. The GUIDE program is relatively new from Medicare, specifically for dementia caregivers.
